Recaps

Recaps writes an AI summary of the Rooms and threads you missed while you were away, so a day off does not turn into an afternoon of scrolling.

After a beta with 4,000 workspaces, Recaps is now generally available on every paid plan.

What a recap covers

Open a Room or a thread you have not read and Pingory offers a short summary at the top of the unread messages. The summary pulls out decisions, questions aimed at you, and anything with your name on it, then links straight to the messages it came from so you can read the full exchange in one click.

Recaps only ever summarises messages you already have access to. Private Rooms you are not a member of never appear.

Turn Recaps on for a workspace

1. Open the admin console from your workspace name in the top left.
2. Go to Settings, then Recaps.
3. Switch on Recaps for the workspace.
4. Choose whether members can use Recaps in every Room they belong to, or only in public Rooms.
5. Save. Members see recaps the next time they open an unread Room.

Only workspace owners and admins can change this setting. Recaps stays on until an admin turns it off.

Turn Recaps off for yourself

If you would rather read everything yourself, open your account settings, go to Recaps, and switch off summaries. Your choice applies to every Room and does not affect anyone else on the team.
