Keyboard Shortcuts

Press Cmd+/ (Ctrl+/ on Windows) anywhere in Pingory to open a searchable panel of every keyboard shortcut. Type what you want to do, in plain words, and the panel shows you the keys for it.

Search the panel

Press Cmd+/ on a Mac, or Ctrl+/ on Windows.
Start typing, for example "mark as read", "edit", or "next Room".
Results narrow as you type, grouped by what part of Pingory they belong to.
Move through the list with the arrow keys.
Press Escape to close the panel and go back to what you were doing.

A few to start with

Cmd+K jumps to a Room, thread, or person.
Cmd+Shift+A opens all your unread messages.
Up arrow in an empty message box edits your last message.
Escape marks the Room you are reading as read.

Where it works

The panel is available in the Pingory desktop app and in the browser, on every plan, with no setup. It knows which platform you are on and shows Cmd or Ctrl to match, so a shared screenshot still reads correctly for the person looking at it.

If the panel does not open

Another app or a browser extension may have claimed the same keys. Close the message box first, then try again, and check your operating system shortcut settings if it still does not appear. You can also open the panel from Help in the main menu.
