Canvas Templates

A canvas is a document that lives inside a Room, next to the conversation it belongs to. The template gallery gives you more than 40 starter layouts so you do not have to build one from an empty page.

What is in the gallery

The 40+ layouts cover the documents teams write over and over:

• Project briefs, with room for goals, scope, and the person who decides.
• Standups, so the daily update has the same shape every morning.
• Retros, with what went well, what did not, and what changes next.
• Onboarding checklists, meeting notes, decision logs, and launch plans.

Start a canvas from a template

1. Open the Room you want the canvas to live in.
2. Click the plus button next to the message box and choose Canvas.
3. Select Browse templates.
4. Filter by category or search by name, then preview a layout.
5. Click Use template. The canvas opens in the Room, ready to edit.

Make it yours

Every template is a normal canvas once you create it, so you can rename sections, add checklists and tables, assign tasks to people, and delete anything you do not need. Anyone in the Room can edit alongside you and see changes as they happen.

Save your own template

If your team has a layout it uses every week, open that canvas, click the menu in the top right, and choose Save as template. It shows up in the gallery under Your workspace for everyone to reuse.
